Empowering Young Learners: Personal Safety Seminar
In a proactive effort to safeguard our youngest students and instill vital life skills, we organized a specialized awareness program focused on early childhood security on June 10, 2026. Through an educational seminar themed ‘Safety and Self-Protection from an Early Age’, first and second-grade students learned to recognize personal boundaries, maintain personal safety, and develop the courage to speak to a trusted adult when facing uncomfortable situations.
We collaborated with Ms. Evelyne Tanugraha, an expert in child communication and a Riau-based storytelling activist and ventriloquist. The material was delivered in an engaging, enjoyable, and highly comprehensible manner for young children, using creative puppets and interactive narratives to convey essential safety rules.
This initiative highlights our comprehensive approach to education, which prioritizes both academic growth and students’ physical and emotional safety. May the knowledge gained from this seminar empower the young learners with the confidence and self-awareness needed to protect themselves and foster a secure school community.
