Welcoming the New Academic Year

To welcome the new school year, our school family came together to pray and ask for God’s blessings. Starting the year with a Mass helps us prepare our hearts and minds for the journey ahead.

All students from Grades I–VI of Santa Maria Elementary School Pekanbaru kicked off the 2026/2027 Academic Year with a Eucharistic Celebration at the Santa Maria A Fatima Catholic Parish Church, led by Fr. Otto Hasugian, Pr. Through the sermon themed “I desire mercy, not sacrifice,” we were reminded that faith is expressed not only through words, but also through acts of love, care, and compassion toward others in our daily lives.

May this inspiring message remain in the hearts of all students throughout the school year, encouraging them to grow not only in knowledge, but also in character and kindness. Here’s to a fruitful, joyful, and blessed Academic Year 2026/2027 for the entire Santa Maria Pekanbaru family!
