Communication through puppets, particularly hand puppets, serves as an effective means to stimulate language development and communication skills in children, especially during early childhood. Hand puppets can be utilized in a variety of activities, including storytelling, role-playing, and dialogue, all of which contribute to the enhancement of children’s speaking abilities, imagination, and socialization skills. Moreover, parents can leverage puppetry as a medium to establish more effective communication with their children in the home environment.

This concept was emphasized by Evelyne Tanugraha, a ventriloquist and author of children’s literature, during a parent-teacher meeting at Santa Maria Elementary School in Pekanbaru, addressing parents and guardians of students in grades 1 through 3. It is hoped that parents will continue to explore effective methods for educating their children, thereby becoming valuable partners for educators in shaping a generation of individuals with strong character.
